Expressions of Interest – Planners (all levels)

About the role:

Due to our large and diverse collection of clients, our Planners work across a variety of town planning jobs including:

  • navigating applications through respective local and state authorities, considering all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • preparing Feasibility Assessments, Preliminary Planning Assessments, Statement of Environmental Effects, Modification Reports and other relevant statutory reports and assessments
  • liaising with clients, consultants, local and state authorities throughout the respective application process
  • managing a caseload of applications and projects ranging from commercial developments to residential extensions
  • assisting with the preparation of varying types of Development Applications

About you:

To be considered for our upcoming Town Planner vacancies you will need:

  • relevant tertiary qualification in Town Planning or related discipline
  • proven ability to develop positive working relationships with internal team members, external clients, local and state government officers, state agencies, landowners and community representatives
  • high level customer service and communication (oral and written) skills including problem solving compliance issues with design solutions
  • an understanding of local government, planning and the development assessment process
  • highly organised in managing own work and working to deadlines
  • ability to write high quality and concise reports and submissions with attention to detail
  • strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • a valid drivers licence and full legal working rights in Australia
